Speller 128 was in full "Tex" mode tonight, helping his team, the Texas Rangers, to a 9 to 7 win over the Padres. Tex pitched 3 innings and did not give up an earned run. The Rangers were down 5 to 0 in the fifth inning, the team never gave up, showed lots of heart and put it away in the sixth. Tomorrow the Rangers meet the Red Sox, the team will certainly be pumped after tonight's come from behind win.
No time for spelling today, Daniel had to meet with his teachers after school to get the work he will miss next week. After that there was a trip to the orthodontist where he had yellow and black bands put on his braces in honor of the upcoming Bee.
My first experience at blogging brings my first editorial correction. If Speller 128 were writing this it would likely not be necessary. I spelled the President/Publisher's name of The Daily Item incorrectly and apologize for my error to Peter Gamage.
